Gian Lorenzo Bernini

Bernini was a sculptor and an architect during the Italian Baroque period, which occurred towards the end of the Renaissance. He was born in Naples in 1598, on December 7th. He contributed to some of the most famous landmarks in Italy, including St. Peters Basilica and the Fountain of Four Rivers. He died on November 28, 1980. Throughout his life, he worked for eight Popes.
